A Dog Year: Twelve Months, Four Dogs and Me by John Katz

Taking place mostly at his home in suburban New Jersey and at his cabin in the woods of Upstate New York, writer John Katz recounts his ups and downs with his canine companions.  I found myself laughing at times and crying at others.  Juggling and struggling to train a new dog, a man and his dogs adapt to the newness of the presence of an additional canine member with unique predilections and needs.  I found myself rooting for John and his dogs to find victory in harmony and fulfillment and you will too.
